About me
Hello, I’m Susannah Eggar.

I hold a degree in psychology and am a qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience in education. Throughout my career, I have specialised in making education accessible to children and young people, striving to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

I’ve also had the joy of running a Theatre workshop company for young people in London, where I combined my passion for amplifying young voices, fostering creativity, and building meaningful connections. Currently, I am proud to be part of Somerset Youth Theatre, where I run drama sessions and contribute to developing their practice in neuroaffirming, inclusive spaces. As a mum of four, I understand first-hand the importance of creating neuroaffirming spaces where every voice matters, and where children and young people can feel safe, supported, and free to explore their creativity.
I am autistic and have associated tics. I am also a survivor of CSA, I bring lived and learnt experience to my work, having spent the last five years working alongside young people and adults who have survived sexual abuse trauma. Additionally, I work with individuals living with significant mental health needs, many of whom are also neurodiverse. My aim is to create safer spaces where everyone feels included, connected, and heard, while embracing creativity and play to support mental health, learning, and accessibility. It's about building communities where people can have fun and share their voices.
My goal is to foster environments where communities can be built around feeling included, connected, heard, and seen. Most importantly, I want these spaces to be filled with joy, fun, and opportunities for people to share their knowledge, voices, and learning.
